This month’s carrier oil is known as the “Tree of Spring” and was the best kept beauty secret of the Geishas in old Japan. In fact, this exceptionally silky and fine oil has been used for centuries in Asia for skincare due to its richness in anti-oxidants and fatty acids: Camellia Oil.

The highly nutritive oil is cold pressed from the plant’s seeds, which are particularly high in oleic acids, linoleic acids and palmitic acids. Camellia Oil also contains large amounts of Vitamin A, B and E, various minerals as well as the active constituent “Squalene” which is an important component of the skins natural emollient system.

What are Camellia Oil’s prominent actions?

This carrier oil is good for all skin types, especially for sensitive skin. Aromatherapists use this odorless, fast absorbing oil with yellow hue for:

· Facial and Anti-Aging Treatments

· Restoring Moisture in Dry Skin

· Healing and Reducing Scars

· Promoting Hair Growth and Scalp Treatments

· After-Sun Treatments

Camellia Oil is an excellent active ingredient to add to skin care products such as gels and creams, being able to penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin leaving it smooth and hydrated.
