Product Highlight: Healing Clay

Healing Clay

Pedanius Dioscorides, master herbalist in ancient Greece, described clay as "God-like Intelligence" when referring to its vast healing properties. In fact, clay has been used externally as well as internally for thousands of years around the world not only by many different cultures, but also by animals. Probably one of its most prominent properties is the ability to draw out and neutralize toxins as well as cure major illnesses such as food poisoning, diarrhea, dysentery and wound infections.

How to use and apply clay?

Most of us have encountered clay in various cosmetic products for skincare. All clays contain vital minerals for the body such as silica, magnesium, sulphur, phosphorus, calcium, iron, zinc, chlorophyll and enzymes. When combined, healing clay and essential oils are a powerful holistic therapy used for the following:

  • Skincare and specific skin conditions
  • Hair and scalp care
  • Babycare (nappy rash)
  • Poultice for wounds, abscess, boils
  • Detoxification

There is a broad range of clay types for specific body and skin conditions. Before using clay, make sure it fits your or your client's individual needs.
